NYC ACRE works with on-site and virtual tenants to keep their commercialization strategies on track from both a timing and financial perspective. If you have a desire to grow and could benefit from access to markets, growth capital, inspired interns, and NYC’s best and brightest technical and business professionals, apply to join our team. No idea is too early for consideration for NYC ACRE.

The basic requirements for selection are:
1) A team that has a proven ability to execute and a passion for clean technology and renewable energy
2) A product or service that addresses a market need
3) The company is headquartered in NYC with a majority of team member located here.

Factors for admission below can be given higher significance over others.

• Tenant addresses a relevant & attractive renewable energy area
• Potential for sustainable competitive advantage
• Marketability of the product or service
• Potential for high returns from the idea and attractive exit opportunities

All tenant applications are evaluated by the Operations Director of NYC ACRE. Final selections are made by the NYC ACRE Admissions Sub – Committee, composed of members of our Advisory Board.

Why apply?

NYC ACRE will provide operational support along with connections to a network of experienced entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and companies in New York City. Admitted tenants will work with NYC ACRE staff and available professionals to develop a refined capital plan / cash flow model.

• NYC ACRE will help all tenants develop their own focused advisory boards that will assist in refining their product or service as well as help identifying early stage deployment opportunities.
• NYC ACRE will produce conferences, meetings and seminars that are commercially relevant and compatible with the focus of its tenants.
• NYC ACRE will provide on-going assistance in the identification and protection of any and all intellectual property developed by its tenants. Despite any assistance from NYC ACRE, the ownership of any new intellectual property will be totally retained by the tenant.
• Other services will include access to conference rooms, computer and communication systems, presentation sites, graduate and post-doctoral students, and laboratories. Tenants will also have access to an account for the purchase of professional services from a list of approved professionals in the fields of patent law, marketing, architecture, engineering, business planning, public relations, product design and communications design.
