Annellotech
Anellotech, Inc. is a newly formed company developing a one step thermochemical technology to produce high value, high volume, high commodity petrochemicals at low cost from renewable resources.

The company's catalytic fast pyrolysis process, or "CPF," will convert cellulosic biomass into benzene toluene, and xylenes, or "BTX," at a lower cost than petroleum-derived BTX. Compared to competitors' complicated multi-step biological, thermo chemical, or combination processes to make biofuels, Anellotech's one-step process is far simpler, and yields higher value products that are compatible with current distribution systems. Anellotech plans to build the first plants with strategic partners then license the technology and supply proprietary catalysts to licensees. Anellotech's first small-scale production plant is expected to be online in 2014.

How do you create clean, renewable electricity without the siting issues of wind, the costs of solar, or the environmental concerns of traditional hydro For a growing number of cities around the U.S., the answer is now clear: with Rentricity's Flow-to-Wire systems. The country's water distribution system is inherently inefficient, with water pressure increased in order to deliver water, and then reduced so the water can be usable. This reduction in water pressure - which currently results in waste heat - is the key to Rentricity's value proposition. The company uses the pressure differentials to spin turbines and create clean electricity, which then produces revenue or expense offsets for its customers, allows for integrated information services, and helps municipalities reach their environmental goals. www.rentricity.com
